Grits

Grits is a 17 year old Arabian/Paint cross that requires an advanced confident rider. He can be ridden English or Western. While grits has done just about everything, he is only for lease to a trail rider or someone who would like to lightly work in an arena. He’s a very sensitive boy that requires an equally quiet and sensitive rider that will let Grits enjoy the slower side of life.

Sue

Sue is a 14 yr old Quarter Horse mare that requires a intermediate rider. She can be ridden English or Western. Sue loves to trail ride, puddles, uphill, down hill, obstacles in her path are no problem for this girl. She will also work in an arena. She will walk, trot, canter on ques but requires a soft hand and quiet leg. She is a forward ride. She is just learning to jump so most of her work over fences has been cross rails, which she jumps happily, and an occasional 18 in vertical. She has limited show experience but has done very well with the little exposure she’s had. She is safe on the ground with little children and is actively used in our camps and Therapeutic Riding program.

Pip

Pip is a 17 yr old 14.1 apha/pony cross currently used for camps and lessons. Pip is small in stature so he does have restrictions on the size of rider he can accommodate. Pip can be ridden by an advanced beginner with quiet hands. He is a forward ride. Pip enjoys trail riding as well as arena work. He can be ridden English or Western. He has jumped cross rails to 2′ courses. He is bold to his fences and requires an intermediate rider when cantering fences. An advanced beginner can trot him through cross rails.

Jingles

Jingles is and a 18 year old American Paint horse gelding. While he can be ridden by an advanced beginner he would probably be more suited toward an intermediate rider. He enjoys a quiet hand but will take a joke. He can be ridden English or Western. He is mostly ridden English, at the moment. He is currently being used in weekly lessons and summer camps. He has dabbled in dressage, Hunters, show jumping and trail riding. He has shown (hunters, dressage, and show jumping) on and off property and done well. He can jump a 2′ course confidently and does have a change in course. He is a push ride 90 percent of the time but does wake up over fences.
